Nordic PropTech Awards 2027

The Nordic PropTech Awards is the leading Nordic ecosystem acceleration and recognition program for innovative startups and scale-ups shaping the future of the built environment. Founded by the Nordic proptech associations of Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland, the initiative connects emerging companies with real estate leaders, investors, strategic partners, and innovation ecosystems across the region. An independent expert jury from across the Nordics reviews every nominee in six tracks.

What the nomination means for VAELLA

VAELLA gives buildings eyes and a brain: we see what is happening and analyse the data with AI. Our solution uses vision sensors and AI to provide a real-time view of how people move through busy spaces, without identifying anyone. This helps metro stations, airports, ferry terminals, offices and shopping centres manage their spaces based on how they are used, so they can save costs and give the people inside a smoother, safer journey.

VAELLA launched in June 2026 as KONE's first spin-out company, and the technology is already used in some of Europe’s most crowded infrastructures.

What’s next

The expert jury evaluates all nominated companies, and the finalists are announced at Recotech in Helsinki on 17 November.

Four finalists in each track will pitch live to their track jury in January 2027. The winners will be revealed at an awards show at PropTech Symposium 2027 in Copenhagen on 25 May 2027.
